Waterfront Structural Engineer
Position available for a junior waterfront structural engineer. The ideal candidate
must have accredited B.S. degree in civil engineering. Qualified individuals
must
have 0 - 2 years experience in structural analysis/design & structural
analysis software such as STAAD. Experience with surveying, seawalls, bulkheads,
piers, marinas, and ports is a plus.
Project
Site Engineer
Coastal Systems Development is a design-build company
specializing in waterfront development projects throughout
the Caribbean. Coastal Systems Development is offering
employment opportunities to individuals seeking exciting
marine construction experience in unique locations.
Position is immediately available for a Project Site
Engineer involving overall support for a construction
site in the Bahamas. You will be required to live in
the Bahamas to support the ongoing construction projects.
Duties include interpreting multi-disciplined construction
plans, quantity take-offs, surveying, coordination with
architects, engineers and the construction support team
in Miami, construction project documentation, quality
control, general project administration, tracking budgets
and schedules, coordination of all project related costs,
logistics and safety. Candidate will be required to
be the liaison between the construction team and the
design team while reporting to the site manager.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Required, EIT or PE
a plus. Other requirements include proficiency in computer
software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project and
AutoCAD.

International Project Manager, Environmental and Permitting Department
The International Project Manager is accountable for providing all aspects of project oversight and management for multiple environmental, regulatory, and construction projects throughout the wider Caribbean Basin. As the manager of these projects, you will be responsible for coordination of environmental and technical fieldwork, preparation of environmental impact assessments, procurement of project regulatory approvals, and coordination with design and construction teams/personnel. The position demands high-level involvement with clientele, government officials and staff, and numerous contractors/vendors. We are keen to recruit someone with strong management skills and extensive experience working in the international sector. Private-sector or government experience, especially in the environmental, engineering or construction field, would be considered an asset.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in environmental policy, engineering, or related fields; advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years professional experience in an international context. Applicants should have proven knowledge of environmental regulation and policy; specific experience in watershed management or coastal management is desirable. Willingness to relocate to the Miami, Florida area and ability to travel internationally on short notice is required.

Senior Structural Engineer
Plan and design structures such as container/oil/cruise ports, marinas, docks, breakwater, seawalls, dams, road design, bridges and seismic-resistant concrete structures, using advance structural analysis software and according to applicable construction and government standards. Review geotechnical reports, survey reports, drawings, blueprints, and geologic data to plan projects. Compute load and grade requirements and material stress factors to determine design specifications. Evaluate materials, methods, and tools involved in construction and repair of structures. Analyze project proposal to determine feasibility, cost, and schedule. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety. Min. Req: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or foreign equivalence together with 3 years of experience.
