Anguilla, Bahamas
Coastal Systems International,
Inc. conducted an environmental impact assessment of the
Anguilla Beach area on Cat Island in the Bahamas. The
assessment addressed data and input relative to the monitoring,
permitting, and design of the beach resort.
A Coastal Systems' field team
conducted investigations which included bathymetric
and hydrographic surveys, mapping of the seagrasses,
reefs and upland habitats, and tide, current and salinity
measurements. In addition, Coastal Systems has designed
a freshwater lake to recharge the inland aquifers. Staff
marine biologists and engineers conducted extensive
analysis to determine the condition of the environment
and to assess project impact and benefits.
