Underwater Video Mapping Coastal Systems International, Inc. provides underwater video mapping to document environmental resources. The system is also employed for search and recovery. Underwater video cameras are mounted in a towed sled with a telemetry cable to the tow vessel. Real-time positioning data is superimposed onto the video overlay system for unparalleled efficiency. Navigation is provided with Coastal Oceanographics HYPACK software, and soundings can also be obtained simultaneously using a survey echo sounder. Track plots (with or without bathymetry) with edited video are provided as deliverables. The system can be easily packed for transport to remote locations. Coastal Systems can deploy the system from in-house survey vessels or vessels of opportunity at remote locations.
