Bahia
Escondida, Golfito, Costa Rica
Coastal Systems is developing one of the most
luxurious projects in Costa Rica. Bahia Escondida is a
bayfront development in the southern zone, anchored around
a historical town and surrounded by protected national
parks and a sheltered bay. The project envisions three
sister resorts:
The
Marina Pedestrian Village will consist of several
key components centered around the original banana boat
pier on 42 acres of titled, concessionary and reclaimed
land. This village will consist of a 217-slip marina,
private cruise ship pier, 278 residential units, 100
guest room keys, as well as retail and entertainment
space.
The Exclusive Island Resort
is the first-ever exclusive island resort to be developed
in Costa Rica. Located on 157 acres of titled and concessionary
land, it is only ten minutes by boat from the Marina
Pedestrian Village. This Exclusive Island Resort will
consist of a five-star, 80 key hotel, a 100-slip marina,
50 low-density "eco" marina condo units and
40 tree-top villas.
Altos de Golfito Gated Community
is a prestigious new single-family residential district
being created within 15 acres of titled property overlooking
the airport and the former management homes within the
historical American Zone.
The marina concession has been approved and construction
of Phase One, including the first 86 slips, marina facilities
and 50 condo units, is scheduled to break ground in
the first quarter of 2006. The total projected value
of the three sister resorts after build-out is estimated
at US $332 million. Currently, Phase I is 70% sold out.
